A number of small drawings in charcoal on paper, showing women behind a ticket booth. These works show an aspect of femininity and interaction with the environment. In these drawings, a face is sometimes revealed while the women are behind a window. This window acts as a physical barrier, creating a dynamic between approachability and closeness. One setting appears to be set during the evening. In another, we see a small part of a figure on the left of the drawing, while the woman displays an uneasy smile. One of the women looks back, her gaze seemingly directed at something outside the drawing. Implicitly, perhaps, this draws us into the scene, an interaction between the world in the drawing and the world of the viewer. An almost closed curtain, as if we have missed an opportunity.
