Five women relate to a bucket of water. The original charcoal drawings were printed on fabric and are presented as an installation in the Enserkerk on Schokland. Water plays an important role in faith and had an important role on the former island of Schokland, symbolising life and fertility on the one hand and death and destruction on the other. Water also symbolises our subconscious. With neerslag, Rolina reflects on the female role that seems to have settled in the subconscious. Through a ritual of cleansing, the five women want to get rid of this. A work about resistance and surrender.
The installation consists of five prints of an original charcoal drawing on u-circular silk satin heavy fabric 100% Rpet (piece 390 x 100 cm).
