In late summer 2022, I worked as an artist-in-residence at Van Gogh AiR in Zundert, in studio De Moeren. I used my time in residence to do research and be inspired by the surroundings. Based on this, I created new work.
My working method consists of collecting images that fascinate me. With these, I build up an archive. I collect images during my walks, by looking at photo archives and taking pictures with models from the surroundings. In this residency, a number of older women from the local community have been my models. With this, I want to compose a new image of my contemporary image as a personification of time. A past time that refuses to give up.
