Home is where II

About 90 of my paintings found temporary homes for a year, from May 2021 until May 2022. Home is Where II is the second series of temporary homes, continuing Home is where I (56 photos of 35 homes).

Home is Where... was an urgent question that occupied me not long ago. During the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands, when many places were closed and mobility was restricted, I was forced to move and had to find a new place to live and work by the 1st of September 2021, heading toward an unknown destination. This situation led me to search for temporary homes for my paintings. I first reached out to people who already had one of my works in their homes or those who showed a clear interest in my art. The project started during a time when exhibition spaces were still closed, so my work could be seen from the comfort of people's homes.

My paintings found both temporary and permanent homes in a growing number of houses throughout the Netherlands. Home is Where ended on 31 May 2022.
